Late on November 19, when the team of director Hemanth M Rao’s next, 666 Operation Dream Theatre posted that they were set to announce the heroine of the Dhananjaya and Shivarajkumar led film, netizens were quick to come up with their theories on who the choice was. While many were hopeful that Hemanth would collaborate with Rukmini Vasanth again, the majority said that he was bringing a popular south heroine back to Kannada cinema. And turns out, they were spot on.
Priyanka Mohan, who is a popular face in Tamil and Telugu cinema, is the heroine of 666 Operation Dream Theatre, which, as it turns out, is her return to Sandalwood. The actress’ film debut was with 2019’s anthology Ondh Kathe Hella , directed by Girish G and has, since, made a mark for herself in Tamil and Telugu with films opposite Nani, Suriya, Dhanush, Siva Karthikeyan, and, more recently, Pawan Kalyan.

“I’ve grown up watching Shiva Rajkumar sir’s films. It is a dream come true to be a part of 666 Operation Dream Theatre. To be working with the incredibly talented Dhananjaya and be a part of such ensemble cast is something that I’m looking forward to eagerly. I had manifested working with Hemanth M Rao; didn’t think it would happen so soon,” Priyanka said in a statement to the media.
Her first look from the film will be revealed once the team convenes for the third schedule of shooting. Dhananjaya’s and Shivarajkumar’s looks from the 80s spy drama had sparked intrigue and raised expectations about the film. Hemanth has his regular collaborators Charan Raj and Advaitha Gurumurthy on board for music and cinematography. The team is looking at releasing the film as a bilingual in Kannada and Telugu.
Q. Does Priyanka Mohan have Kannadiga roots?
A. Yes, Priyanka Mohan was born in Bengaluru and has a Kannadiga mother. She lives in Chennai, but made her film debut with the Kannada film Ondh Kathe Hella . She is rumoured to be returning to Kannada cinema with 666 Operation Dream Theatre.
Q. Is Bhairavana Kone Paataa shelved?
A. No. Hemanth M Rao's proposed film with Shivarajkumar, Bhairavana Kone Paataa is not shelved, but will be revisited later, when the Century Star is able to front an action-heavy project. It was put on hold given his cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment and surgery.
