666 Operation Dream Theatre, the period action crime drama directed by Hemanth M Rao and starring Daali Dhananjaya and Shivarajkumar in the lead, is currently in production. But for the fact that it is a retro spy thriller and brings Sukhwinder Singh Grewal aka Giant Zanjeer to Kannada cinema, Hemanth has kept details about the film under wraps so far. On November 20, the team is set to make a big announcement – the heroine reveal.

This, of course, has led to intense online speculation about Hemanth’s choice. Considering their successful collaboration on Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A & B and how her career has flourished since then, Rukmini Vasanth is one of the names that has come up since, but the majority of netizens believe that Hemanth is not known to repeat heroines and will present a casting coup of sorts. Given the scale of the project and the star cast, netizens reckon that the filmmaker has cast a popular actress.

Priyanka Mohan returning to Kannada cinema?

There are two names as front runners, but one seems more likely, given the filmmaker’s affinity for Kannada speaking artistes. The two actresses that netizens have speculated to be a part of 666 Operation Dream Theatre are Trisha and Priyanka Arul Mohan, respectively, with the latter, the more likely choice. That Hemanth has begun following her on social media is seen as the giveaway sign of the collaboration. Since her 2019 Kannada film debut with Ondh Kathe Hella, Priyanka has predominantly worked in big-ticket star-driven Tamil and Telugu cinema. Her most recent release was Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG.

The official announcement, meanwhile, will be on the film’s official Whatsapp Channel at 11.11 am on November 20. 666 Operation Dream Theatre does not have a release date set yet, but is expected to be a second half of 2026 theatrical outing. Shivarajkumar will next be seen in 45, which marks composer Arjun Janya’s directorial debut, on December 25. This is his first collaboration with Dhananjaya since Tagaru. The duo had begun working together on Uttarakaanda, but the film is currently stalled.
