71st National Film Awards 2023 Full Winners List: Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Vikrant Massey win Best Actors

The winners for 71st National Film Awards (2023) were officially announced in New Delhi today, August 1, 2025. Vikrant Massey and Rani Mukerji, who were the frontrunners for Best Actor and Best Actress respectively, have won an award for their performance in 12th Fail and Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, respectively. Shah Rukh Khan also won the Best Actor award for his movie, Jawan. While the final report was out and submitted to Union Information & Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Union Minister L Murugan at 4 pm, the media representatives gathered for the announcement from 5.30 pm and the final winners' list was out at 6 pm. Like always, the National Awards were held at National Media Centre in New Delhi. Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, who was among the jury, announced the winners.

Best Actress in a Leading Role - Rani Mukerji for Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway (Hindi)

Best Actor in a Leading Role - Shah Rukh Khan for Jawan (Hindi), Vikrant Massey for 12th Fail (Hindi)

Best Direction - Sudipto Sen for The Kerala Story (Hindi)

Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment - Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani (Hindi)

Best Debut Film of a Director - Aatmapamphlet (Marathi)

Best Feature Film - 12th Fail (Hindi)
