Star, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Kavin in the lead role, is one of the promising films to look forward to in 2024. While the makers are leaving no stone unturned to provide update after update on the film, the team dropped a brand-new musical update of Star.
The film is written and directed by Elan. The filmmaker, on Saturday, dropped an update that the film's re-recording has begun. He posted a photograph of Yuvan Shankar Raja working on his studio.

Star’s re-recording begins
Starring Kavin in the lead role, Star is an upcoming Tamil film, written and directed by Elan who previously made Pyaar Prema Kadhal. The film will have music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, one of the celebrated musicians in the country. It is to be noted that he had also composed and produced the director’s previous film as well.
On Saturday, Elan took to his social media handle to reveal that Yuvan Shankar Raja has begun the re-recording of Star. The director also posted a "love letter" expressing his gratitude and affection to the composer.
About Star
The upcoming project will feature Kavin as a movie star. Just like the title, the film will trace the life of a star, showing the audiences the untold story of stardom, and the struggles of actors. The makers had already begun the promotion of the film by releasing songs from Star.
Star, is one of the most ambitious projects in Kavin’s career. Besides Kavin, the film will also feature two female leads, Aaaditi S Pohankar and Preity Mukhundhan. It is to be noted that Star was initially launched with actor Harish Kalyan, and the makers had released posters of the actor resembling iconic looks of yesteryear stars like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. However, due to undisclosed reasons, Kavin replaced Harish Kalyan as the lead in Star. Produced by BVSN Prasad and Sreenidhi Sagar, a release date for the film is yet to be announced by the makers.
