Aadujeevitham, the survival drama which features Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, is now receiving immense love from the cine-goers across the globe. The movie, which is helmed by senior director Blessy, is reportedly set to have its OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar, soon after completing its theatrical run. If the recent updates are to be believed, the Aadujeevitham OTT version might hit the screens with a longer runtime.
Aadujeevitham OTT version to have a longer runtime?
In a recent interview with a leading online media, director Blessy, who made a comeback to films with Aadujeevitham after a long break of over 11 years, extensively spoke about the making of the film. Interestingly, the senior director revealed that the Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer was originally a much longer film, and initially had a runtime of around 3 hours and 30 minutes. However, the filmmaker and his team had to chop off over 30 minutes of footage, to fit The Goat Life into the standard duration of a feature film.
However, director Blessy confirmed that the uncut version of the Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer will be released soon. Now, the grapevine suggests that the much-awaited Aadujeevitham OTT version will have a longer runtime. The makers are reportedly planning to stream the uncut version of the film on Disney+ Hotstar, soon after the movie completes its theatrical run. While considering the successful theatrical run of The Goat Life, the film might follow Premalu and Manjummel Boys and might get an extended run in the theatres. In that case, the movie will release on OTT, only in May 2024.
Aadujeevitham OTT and satellite rights are sold
As reported earlier, The OTT of Aadujeevitham is bagged by the popular streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar, for a whopping price. The streaming rights of the Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer, on the other hand, have been sold to the famous Malayalam TV channel, Asianet. The makers of the Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer are expected to officially announce the OTT release of the film, after a couple of weeks. The Goat Life is expected to have its worldwide television premiere, soon after its OTT release.
