Aashiqui 3 finally gets a leading lady; Triptii Dimri to ignite screen with Kartik Aaryan – Details Inside!

Triptii Dimri's performance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal has made her the talk of the town. A few days ago, the actress made headlines when one of her old videos went viral on the internet. In the video, Triptii Dimri performed Kartik Aaryan's monologue from Pyaar Ka Punchnama in an eight-year-old video that is currently going viral.

Well, now an exciting update reveals that Triptii is now all set to romance Kartik Aaryan. Yes! You read that right. 

The film Aashiqui 3, starring Kartik Aaryan, continues to get attention due to the persistent rumors about the movie's lead actress being confirmed. The Aashiqui 3 team has cast Triptii Dimri to play the female lead opposite Kartik Aaryan, according to Pinkvilla.

A source tells the portal that Triptii, the current national crush, has been cast by the makers to play Kartik Aaryan's romantic interest. After Animal's unprecedented success, Triptii has been the talk of the town, and the makers believe that she will light up the screen alongside Kartik Aaryan. According to a source familiar with the situation, "The conversations have been on for quite some time and the makers have now locked her as the female lead.”

Earlier in the year, Bhushan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Kartik Aaryan collaborated on Aashiqui 3, the third entry in the Aashiqui series. When the trio revealed the movie, they aroused a great deal of interest among the media and fans. 

The remaining cast members will be locked shortly after the film goes on floors in the first quarter of 2024. 

Before beginning filming, the source said that Kartik and Triptii will participate in several workshops and screenplay reading sessions. Aashiqui 3, which is scheduled to release in the first quarter of 2024, will be Kartik and Triptii's first film together.

About the Aashiqui franchise

Mahesh Bhatt directed the first Aashiqui, which starred Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal. The movie was a critical and financial hit when it came out in 1990, and the music sold about 20 million copies.

2013 saw the release of Aashiqui 2, the sequel. Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur played the key roles, and Mohit Suri directed it. The movie was a critical and commercial triumph, yet it had nothing to do with the first installment. The soundtrack for Aashiqui 2 was positively reviewed, just like the first one.
