Since its release on December 1st, the newest movie, Animal, has been shattering box office records. The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, made a huge amount of money in all languages within a few days of its release and is expected to surpass 500 crore soon in India. In the midst of its explosive performance and enormous box office receipts, its star Tripti Dimri is generating news for all the right reasons.

While celebrating Animal's success, Dimri has now gone into the past to remember the beginning of her career. The actress's portrayal of Zoya has attracted a lot of attention, with online users falling madly in love with the Qala star. Fans have even started calling her 'National Crush'.

Dimri talked about her early professional days and how she used to hustle for auditions in an interview with Instant Bollywood. She also mentioned that, in spite of her parents' objections, she came to Mumbai to pursue her goal of becoming a Bollywood actress.

Triptii Dimri, who played the role of Zoya in Animal, said, “Patience kaam milne ke baad bhi bohot chahiye actor ko (An actor needs a lot of patience even after getting work). I just left home and I came to Bombay. My parents were not happy with my decision so there were days when I knew I had to be in Bombay, I couldn’t ask for money. They will be like ‘you can’t survive there come back’, so there were times when I was without any money.”

Meanwhile, Triptii starred in Laila Majnu, Bulbul, Qala, and other films after making her debut with Poster Boys. With Animal, the actress has now taken her fan following to a whole new level.
