Aashram 4: Will Chandan Roy Sanyal's Bhopa Swami take over the throne in next season? Actor says 'It depends on...'

Bobby Deol and Chandan Roy Sanyal's web series, Aashram, has kept the audiences hooked since its inception. Recently, the second part of Aashram 3, Ek Badnaam... Aashram 3 Part 2, was released on Amazon MX Player. Bobby and Chandan's characters, Baba Nirala and Bhopa Swami, went from being friends to arch-rivals. In a recent interview, Chandan hinted at Aashram 4 by saying that the story may take his character forward if there's a new installment.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Chandan Roy Sanyal shared Ek Badnaam... Aashram 3 Part has become the 'best edition' for the people. The actor revealed he was initially unsure about the show becoming what it has become today. "I knew that it was a great story and script, and it was being directed by Prakash Jha and had Bobby Deol," said Chandan.

And while there's chatter about his character Bhopa Swami taking over the throne, Chandan hopes that the writers will add new twists to his role. "It depends on the writer. I am also in the dark right now. I am sure the writers will create more magic as this season has ended on quite a high," he added.

After Ek Badnaam... Aashram 3 Part 2 was released, Chandan reflected on the evolution of his character. "Right from the start, Bhopa Swami has had to fight for his place— earning his people's trust while securing his standing within Baba Nirala’s inner circle. But beneath his unwavering loyalty lies a storm of internal conflict, especially when it comes to Pammi."

Chandan featured in the web show with Bobby Deol, Aaditi Pohankar, Darshan Kumaar, Vikram Kochhar, Tridha Choudhury, Anupriya Goenka, Rajeev Siddhartha, and Esha Gupta in key roles. The second part of season three premiered on February 27, 2025.
