Following much anticipation, Vinay Forrt’s latest film, Aattam, has finally made it to the digital space. The film is now available to stream on Amazon Prime. The makers had recently put up posts on social media saying the movie would be releasing online soon; however, they did not announce an exact date.
After its theatrical debut, the film was praised for surprising viewers in a number of ways, including its engrossing narrative and the performers' superb performances. Aattam is definitely an emotional journey, and it portrays that it is easy to criticise some of the characters for their direct and harsh comments. One soon realises that these are simply a few of the things that they have likely heard or experienced themselves at some point in their lives.
Anjali, an architect, is the only female artist among the fourteen members of the theatre group Arangu. Anjali, who has been a member of the troupe since she was sixteen, thought it was her safe haven until a dramatic incident that happened following a play changed everything. She makes the decision to leave the group and confide in Vinay, her lover and coworker. However, he takes advantage of the situation by talking her into staying and persuading her to take action against the accused.
Vinay and a senior group member convene a meeting with all members of the group—aside from the perpetuator—to determine the next course of action. The group's discussions, each person's changing perspective following a sequence of events, and their uncovering of certain truths are the main themes of the movie.
