Malayalam superstar Fahadh Faasil’s movies have been eagerly awaited by audiences across the country. His next Malayalam movie is all the more special as it marks his collaboration with director Jithu Madhavan, who had helmed this year’s superhit horror-comedy Romancham.

The movie, which is reportedly titled Aavesham, had wrapped up shooting its significant portions earlier this month. Aavesham, which is Jithu’s sophomore directorial, is produced by Fahadh, Nazriya and Anwar Rasheed and is touted to be a campus entertainer.

Much like Jithu’s Romancham, Aavesham too has been extensively in Bengaluru. Fahadh plays a goon-for-hire, who is brought to the college by a bunch of students to tackle their issues, as per reports. The actor’s look, sporting a thick moustache and jewellery, dressed in all-white attire, had leaked on social media earlier in May.

Though the makers were earlier aiming at an Onam release for the movie, we now hear that the film has been pushed to the Christmas season with the producers looking at a December 22 release date. The makers are yet to officially announce this. Onam already looks crowded in Mollywood with Dulquer Salmaan’s King of Kotha, Tovino Thomas’ Ajayante Randam Moshanam and also Mohanlal-Jeethu Joseph’s Ram scheduled to hit theatres. Shane Nigam, Antony Varghese and Neeraj Madhav’s RDX is another campus action-entertainer that will be released during the festive season.

Meanwhile, Fahadh had recently wrapped up the shoot for Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule that has him reprising his role as Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat in the Sukumar directorial. The actor had kept his moustache for both Aavesham and Pushpa 2.

Incidentally, this look was also the reason Fahadh couldn’t promote his latest movie Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum that had released in theatres in April and had hit Amazon Prime Video last week. The actor didn’t want his look to be out, according to the film’s director Akhil Sathyan. Nonetheless, Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum was deemed a superhit, with the movie collecting a lifetime gross of Rs 15 Cr, according to trade analysts.
