Abigail on OTT: Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett's horror comedy was theatrically released on April 19, 2024. Featuring Alisha Weir in the titular role, the movie initially had its premiere at the Overlook Film Festival on April 7. If you missed watching Abigail on the big screen, fret not! The movie has now dropped on OTT but with a twist. You can watch the horror comedy, written by Stephen Shields and Guy Busick, on a streaming platform but it's available for rent on ZEE5.
Alisha Weir's horror comedy Abigail can be streamed on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. The streaming platform shared an official update about Abigail's OTT release via its Instagram handle. While sharing the same on Instagram, the streamer wrote, "Is Abigail a vengeful spirit or far more terrifying? Witness the secrets unfold. AbigailOnZEE5, rent now (sic)."

For the uninitiated, the story of Abigail is about a group of people who kidnap the daughter of an underworld figure and demand $50 million for her release. Upon its theatrical release, Abigail received positive reviews and it reportedly minted over $42 million globally.
As far as the film's star cast is concerned, Abigail also stars Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, Will Catlett, Kevin Durand, Angus Cloud, and Giancarlo Esposito.
Earlier, in an interview with Deadline, Alisha Weir spoke about working on the titular character in Abigail. The actress revealed how she was trained for her part. "I had an amazing coach, Nancy [Banks], who really helped me understand the character and her two different sides," she said.
Alisha added that whenever she would read the script, she would call her characters Alby and Abigal to understand their different shades. "I’d have two different highlighters to highlight the different characters," added Weir.
