Bengali actor Abir Chatterjee, who was last seen in the Bratya Basu drama Dictionary co-starring Nusrat Jahan, is hitting it off on the work front. He took to his Instagram handle to share that he has finished the dubbing for his upcoming film Abar Bochhor Koori Pore, directed by Srimanta Sengupta. The Switzerland actor put up two pictures from the session, and wrote, “Dubbing scenes for #AbarBochhorKooriPore. A film by @srimantasenguptta.”

The plot of the film draws from the treasure trove of simple joys of life in one’s childhood, into the good old days as a carefree kid always looking for excuses to step out of the house and play with friends. As one starts to grow up, friends may drift apart in terms of physical distance but not at heart.

Abar Bochhor Koori Pore chronicles the reunion of school friends. They now decide to catch up on their golden memories after two decades and pick up from where they left off.

Abir will play Arun, an ambitious person who has worked his way up the corporate ladder to be successful but is caught in the ego-trip of being from the corporate sector. Bonnie plays a doctor who is enmeshed in the tribulations of his own life while Nila is a homemaker, working hard to juggle her household responsibilities and tend to her husband and children. Dutta is the only person in the group who stayed back in Kolkata and is keen on getting them together.

Not much is known about the film yet but it features an interesting cast that includes Arpita Chatterjee, Paran Bandopadhyay, Swagata Basu, Tanusree Chakravorty, among others.

On the work front, Abir will also act in Anik Dutta’s Aparajito, a cinematic tribute to the ‘Renaissance Man’ Satyajit Ray on his birth centenary, where he will play Aparajito Roy aka Apu. Inspired from the making of Ray’s most famous film Pather Panchali, the plot follows Apu’s obstacles while making the film Pather Podaboli and how he overcomes them.
