Talented singers Antara Nandy and Ankita Nandy – popularly known as Nandy Sisters on social media – became household names since the pandemic with their soulful covers and original songs. The two sisters play ukulele sing songs in different languages and engage with guests with medleys.
Recently, Abir Chatterjee came as a guest in the 16th episode of Nandy Sisters’ Gungunale series. He sang and chatted with them and played a fun game. Nandy Sisters often do covers. They were recently invited to Mukesh Ambani’s Antilia during Ganesh Puja. They sang there. They have been doing a series for the last few months where they collaborate with celebrities all over the country and have musical sessions. Stars like Parambrata Chatterjee and Ada Sharma came to their show. Abir is the latest addition to the guest list.

Antara and Ankita played ukulele and sang the song Hoyto Tomari Jonyo. Abir also sang with them. Antara posted the video on Instagram and wrote, “We are sure you did not see this coming! You’ve all seen @itsmeabirchatterjee da as the phenomenal actor that he is, now you get to listen to him as a singer – Slaying one of the most iconic songs of all time !! Ever indebted to Dada for sparing the time and for being the nicest person there is!”
They paid tribute to Sudhin Dasgupta and Manna Dey in the video. Another video shows them playing a game with songs. Antara asked three questions. In one of them, Abir had to sing a song after hearing the lyrics. In the second one, he had to identify a song by seeing a photo. And in the third question, he had to sing the correct song by lip-reading.' Abir answered all the questions correctly. The Nandy Sisters thanked him and gave him gifts.
Abir Chatterjee will be seen in the film Raktabeej where Nandy Sisters sang a song. The film will be released on October 19. He will also be seen in the movie Badami Hayenar Kobole, directed by Debaloy Bhattacharya. Abir plays Dipak Kumar in the movie.
