Ace, the 2025 Tamil film starring actor Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role, is currently running in theatres. The heist comedy thriller has minted Rs 2.62 crore at the box office in India so far during its two-day run in theatres, as per reports.

Actor Vijay Sethupathi, who was seen in films like Naanum Rowdy Dhaan , and Viduthalai: Part 2, recently starred in Tamil film Ace. The film is directed by Aarumugakumar, who has previously worked with Vijay Sethupathi in Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren.

Ace released in theatres on May 23. The film’s total box office collection so far in India is around Rs 2.62 crore, as per Sacnilk report. While the first day collection came up to Rs 1 crore, the second day saw a rise in collection with Rs 1.62 crore. Upon its release, Ace gained middling reviews from critics. Ace marks the Tamil debut of the Bhairathi Ranagal actor Rukmini Vasanth. The film is a comedy thriller surrounding a heist. Vijay Sethupathi plays the role of Bold Kannan, a man with a mysterious past who lands in Malaysia to start a new life, only to get caught into the world of crime.

The post-theatrical streaming rights of Ace have been bagged by Prime Video. An OTT release date for the film is yet to be announced by the makers. It is expected that the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer will premiere sometime in June.

Yogi Babu, Divya Pillai, Babloo Prithveeraj, BS Avinash, Muthu Kumar, Raj Kumar, Denes Kumar, and others are also part of the film. Ace is produced by 7Cs Entertainment, who also made Laabam with Vijay Sethupathi. Justin Prabhakaran has scored the music for Ace, with Karan B Rawat as cinematographer. Fenny Oliver is the editor of the film.
