Achint Kaur pleads for new work ahead of Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi OTT release

Just a few days after Ekta Kapoor (Pavitra Rishta 2.0) confirmed that Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is scheduled for OTT release, that actor Achint Kaur, who played Dr. Mandira (among other characters) in the TV show, has come out and stated that she is out of work. The actress has taken to social media to pleas for work, which would take you back to the time when Dial 100 actress Neena Gupta did the same. Except this time, Achint has asked for work when her show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu This is announced as an OTT release. In the video, though, Achint requests new work.

In the video going viral, Achint Kaur shared that she is looking for new, versatile opportunities. "I am an actor and voice artist with years of experience across platforms. And right now I am looking for exciting new opportunities both in India and internationally," the Jamai 2.0 actress says in her video. With it, she shared her manager and social media manager's details.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi coming to OTT

Ekta Kapoor had recently announced that just like Pavitra Rishta, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is also being remade for OTT. While it appears that is not something Achint is too keen on revisiting and wants new work, we might or might not get to see her on the show. The lead actress Smriti Irani (now a politician), though, is almost confirmed for the revamped version of the superhit TV show.

Neena Gupta's case study

Neena Gupta was also out of work a few years back and she had also sought the help of social media to land a role. The Uunchai actress was lauded and she instantly received offers. Ever since, Neena Gupta made her acting comeback with Badhaai Ho and Panchayat, among other projects. She is successfully still working in the industry.
