Actor Prasanna, who predominantly works in the Tamil film industry, was last seen in a prominent role in SonyLIV's series Cheran's Journey. Prasanna, one of the seasoned actors, may not enjoy a commercial fan base, but he has carved a niche for himself.
In one such scenario, actor Prasanna responded to one of the posts written by his fan and said that he has a "sleeper cell fan base," which will come to light when the time comes.

One of the actor’s fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a clip from the song Naan Pogiren from the film Naanayam starring Prasanna and wrote, “Prasanna is such a natural actor. He can shine and portray any character at ease. His face expression are lit. Surprise to see he don't have much fansbase. He deserved much appreciation and support from audience.”
To this, the actor shared the post and said how he is a “sleeper cell fan base”. He wrote, “I have my fan base. Kinda sleeper cell fan base. I believe when time comes me n my fanbase will be largely visible. Thanks for the compliments.”
Naanayam was 2010 heist thriller film directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan. The film starred Prasanna along with Sibiraj, Ramya Raj, Jasper, among others. The song was voiced by late SP Balasubrahmanyam, and KS Chithra, with Thamarai penning the lyrics.
Prasanna’s body of work:
The actor made his debut with the Mani Ratnam-backed film Five Star, which was released in 2002. The actor, in his two-decade-long career, has worked in many films, namely Azhagiya Theeye in 2004, Kanda Naal Mudhal in 2005, Anjathe in 2008, and more.
The actor was also seen alongside actor Dulquer Salmaan in the Malayalam action-drama King of Kotha. The film was directed by Abhilash Joshiy and released in theatres in 2023. Prasanna was last seen in the SonyLIV web series Cheran’s Journey. The series is directed by filmmaker Cheran. The series revolved around the chairman of a leading automobile company who is in search of a perfect candidate in order to fill an important post. Prasanna played Raghav Isakkimuthu, one of the five people shortlisted for the position.
