The grandiose fantasy actioner Rakt Bramhand—The Bloody Kingdom by Raj & DK has seemingly found a snag, delaying its anticipated release date. Reports indicate that in February, Raj & DK and co-director Rahi Anil Barve were supposed to begin the second schedule in Mumbai. The plan has been delayed by two months due to the reimagining of the war sequences in the series starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi.
Rakt Bramhand is a high-budget fantasy series set in a world where rival empires wage war, according to an insider who informed Mid Day. It goes without saying that the battle scenes are crucial to the plot. Due to dissatisfaction with their progress on paper, the team is going back to the drawing board to fix certain areas.
There are few productions as ambitious as Rakt Bramhand on Netflix India. However, the two-month delay led to its removal from the streamer's recently revealed 2025 lineup. According to an additional source, the show will not be available to stream in 2025.
The source told the tabloid that it takes time to design it as a spectacle. The lengthy visual effects editing process, which begins in April, will delay the series' release until 2026.
The show will have outstanding graphics, gory action, and an engrossing storyline set in a magical land.
Earlier, Raj & DK excitedly discussed their partnership with Netflix, saying that this is uncharted territory, which makes it all the more thrilling for them. They want to create a fantasy universe that is both new and evocative of the stories their parents and grandparents told them when they were kids. It has been an incredible experience collaborating with the incredibly gifted Barve and their incredibly adaptable partner Sita Menon to realise this unique idea. The experience of working with Netflix has been quite positive, and they wholeheartedly embrace the unusual idea for Rakt Bramhand.
