Karan Johar took to social media and ‘unveiled’ the gripping first look of the much awaited Sara Ali Khan starrer Ae Watan Mere Watan

A few months ago, Prime Video had shared an announcement video of the Sara Ali Khan starrer Ae Watan Mere Watan. Today, the film’s producer Karan Johar took to social media and shared an extremely gripping and spellbinding first look of Sara Ali Khan’s most awaited film 'Ae Watan Mere Watan'. After sharing the teaser video, Karan captioned the post stating, “Aazad aawazein, qaid nahi hoti” #AeWatanMereWatanOnPrime, coming soon only on @primevideoin. @apoorva1972 @somenmishra @saraalikhan95 #KannanIyer @darabfarooqui @dharmaticent”.
The teaser has Sara Ali Khan looking ‘simply stunning’ in a saree with a blouse with borders, which is reminiscent of the fact that, the film has freedom fighting and independence as its DNA. Added to that, is the riveting background music, which only acts as an icing on the cake! Sara can be seen holding a mic. Sara Ali Khan will be seen in a never-before seen avatar of a freedom fighter/ independence warrior Usha Mehta.
Besides Sara, the film also stars Richard Bhakti Klein, Alexx O'Nell in prominent roles. While the film is being directed by Kannan Iyer, it has been written by Darab Farooqui and Kannan Iyer. The film is being produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta and co-produced by Somen Mishra.
If the buzz is to be believed, then, Sara Ali Khan will be seen in the role of the person who was responsible for launching Congress Radio, which was an underground radio station and was operated for a brief period of time during the 1942 Quit India Movement. This radio station made a deep impact in the minds of the people through its news transmission.
Even though the teaser of ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ did not mention its release date, this Kannan Iyer-directed film will be premiering on Prime Video. Watch this space for developments.
