After Bimbisara, Kalyan Ram to do yet another period drama, details inside

Kalyan Ram impressed one and all with Bimbisara. The period drama became a big hit and gave Kalyan Ram a breather in his dull career which did not have a single hit in the last three years. His last film, Amigos was a big flop at the box office and Kalyan Ram played a triple role. Now, the news is that Kalyan has given a green signal to yet another period drama.

We have come to know that director Virinchi Varma, who made films like Uyyala Jampala and Majnu with Nani will helm this film with Kalyan Ram. A few days back, he met Kalyan Ram and narrated the script which the latter liked and gave a green signal. The film will be announced in a few weeks from now when the producer and technical team is locked completely.

Kalyan Ram has wrapped up a film called Devil which is also a period drama. The film has a British backdrop and is about a spy. So Kalyan Ram is in no mood to play it safe and has been doing films which give him scope to perform. That is the reason he has given Virichi Varma a chance to direct one more period drama in his career.

On the other hand, Virichi Varma had last directed Majnu seven years back and is out of form. So, what kind of a project he has narrated to Kalyan Ram and impressed him is the big question in the film circles. Meanwhile, Kalyan Ram is also a co-producer of Jr NTR's film with Koratala Siva. He is making sure that this project is made in the best way possible.
