Only recently, actor Jr NTR was inducted into the new member class of actors by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts, commonly known as the Oscars. The Devara actor's performance in RRR, in particular, lent him a glorious global reach and the Academy membership, one believes, only strengthens that aspect.
Now, in the same vein, Jr NTR's RRR co-star and fellow superstar Ram Charan has been extended the same courtesy by The Academy as the 'Game Changer' actor becomes the new entrant to the New Member Class of Actors.
"Through their nuanced portrayal and dedication to authenticity, these actors gift us with characters that leave a lasting impression on our hearts and minds. Their mastery of their art form transforms ordinary moments into extraordinary cinematic experiences, enriching our appreciation for the depth and complexity of human emotions. We’re thrilled to welcome these accomplished performers to the Actors Branch of the Academy," read The Academy's official social media post as it revealed that Ram Charan joins the Actors Branch of The Academy along with Lashana Lynch, Vicky Krieps, Louis Koo Tin-Lok, Keke Palmer, Chang Chen, Sakura Ando and Robert Davi.
In fact, Ram Charan and Jr NTR aren't the only two RRR alumni to join the prestigious institute as members. A few weeks ago, the film's cinematographer K.K. Senthil Kumar became the latest entrant to the Cinematographers Branch at The Academy along with a select few accomplished technicians in the field. All three - K.K. Senthil Kumar, Jr NTR and Ram Charan - are part of the new '2023' list of 398 invitees which includes several noted names like Austin Butler, Taylor Swift, Ke Huy Quan, Bill Hader and India's own Mani Ratnam.
Needless to say, Ram Charan's inclusion has pleased all his fans as he now looks to make a more prominent impression on the global audience. The comments to the announcement reveal their jubilation and a majority of them would be jubilant over the fact that Jr NTR, too, has been inducted along with him. Both actors shined incredibly bright in their own ways in S.S. Rajamouli's period epic, with their stellar dancing skills in 'Naatu Naatu', in particular, weaving a magic of its own. Of course, that song would go on to become the first Indian production feature to win 'Best Original Song' at the 95th Oscars in 2023.
