After Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt to fight with Bobby Deol in YRF’s spy thriller?

Alia Bhatt will be seen in the role of a spy in Yash Raj Films' female-led spy thriller. The movie will be directed by Shiv Rawail and it is touted to be an action spectacle. The actress will be seen alongside Sharvari Wagh (from Bunty Aur Babli 2) in this YRF thriller. High-octane action has been the USP of the production banner's spy universe. And this movie, starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari Wagh and Bobby Deol, will be no different. The latest development is that Alia will have a fight sequence with Bobby in the film.

Alia Bhatt to fight with Bobby Deol's YRF's spy thriller?

In the Shiv Rawail directorial, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will be seen as undercover agents while Bobby Deol plays the antagonist. According to Mid-Day, producer Aditya Chopra believes this film will attract women as it is the first female-led spy thriller from his banner. Chopra intends to make it a cool action entertainer that will feature Alia and Sharvar's characters as 'mean killing machines'. 

As per the media report, Aditya has brought a mix of action directors, which include Indian action director Sunil Rodrigues, Korean stunt coordinator Se-yeong Oh and Franz Spillhaus. "While one sequence will see Alia doing martial arts, another will have her in fierce combat with Bobby," a source told the tabloid.

For those who are unaware, in Animal, Alia's husband and actor Ranbir Kapoor was pitted against Bobby Deol. The film's climax had a massive action sequence between the actors. And now, it is Alia who will have a fierce combat with Deol.

When will Alia Bhatt's YRF spy thriller go on floors?

The report further suggests Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh's spy-thriller is likely to go on floors in September 2024. Before the shoot begins, the actresses will train hard for their respective characters. "Over subsequent offerings, Alia’s character will cross paths with Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, Salman Khan’s Tiger, and Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir from the War franchise," a source added.
