A few years ago, Kannada filmmaker Prem was the first one to bring Sunny Leone to Sandalwood with a special number in his film DK. At the time, Sunny was supposedly paid a whopping Rs 80 lakh for the song Seshamma, in which she shimmied with him. Subsequently, Sunny returned twice more to Kannada cinema, the Kamakshi song in Luv U Alia and Dingri Billi in Champion.
Prem is currently in the midst of shooting his next with Dhruva Sarja in the lead – KD: The Devil and this time around, he has yet another gimmicky number up his sleeve. Prem has signed up Canadian dancer and actress Nora Fatehi for a special song in KD and she is currently in Bengaluru to shoot the song with Dhruva.
Prem took to social media to confirm the development, which had been speculated in industry circles in the last few days. He posted a video of Nora’s arrival on set, where she was greeted by the team, including Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who has a pivotal role in the film. KD, produced by KVN Productions pairs Dhruva with Reeshma Nanaiah, while Shilpa Shetty, Ramesh Aravind and V Ravichandran will also be seen in the film.
Prem, who last made Ek Luv Ya with his brother-in-law Ranna and Reeshma, has not revealed much about KD, other than that it is a period film set in the decade between the late 60s and late 70s. The film is being shot at specially erected sets, where the team has recreated areas of Bengaluru from that era.
Once done with KD, Prem moves on to a film with Challenging Star Darshan, which will also be bankrolled by KVN Productions. Darshan is currently working on Devil with Prakash Veer, who made Tarak with him earlier. As for KD’s leading man Dhruva, he has a much-delayed project called Martin, directed by AP Arjun, who launched him with Addhuri. The actor has some work pending on Martin, which he is likely to complete once KD is in post-production, as he has to bulk up for Arjun’s film.
