Puri Jagannadh is one of the legendary directors in Telugu cinema, but sadly, his last two films, Liger and Double Ismart, ended as disasters at the box office. Puri was written off by the press and fans alike, and that is when he signed the DSP star Vijay Sethupathi for his next, a surprising move that shocked many in the industry.

On top of this, he also roped in National Award-winning actress Tabu to play the female lead in the film. On the other hand, Nivetha Thomas is high on the success of her last film, 35 Chinna Katha Kadu, which is now streaming on OTTplay Premium. She played the role of a Brahmin housewife and won the hearts of many.
