Varun Tej is going through a rough patch in his career, as some of his last few films have tanked at the box office. The young hero pinned a lot of hope on his latest release, Operation Valentine, but sadly, it ended as a disaster of sorts.
Varun Tej to work with Merlapaka Gandhi
Varun moved on to his next project, Matka, but that has also been put on hold, as per the news. Even since Amazon Prime announced a project titled Matka with Vinay Varma, the makers are in confusion as both films are more or less on the same subject. The shoot has been halted, and Varun is busy reading scripts for his next.
Now, we have come to know from our sources that Varun has locked noted director Merlapaka Gandhi's next. The news is that Gandhi approached Varun a few days ago with an adventure thriller and the star hero also liked the script and has given a green signal.

The producer who will helm this film is not yet known, but the project will go on floors in the last quarter of 2024. Merlapka Gandhi gave a super hit with the film Venkatadri Express but sadly, after that film, none of his projects managed to click with the audience.

Varun teaming up with Gandhi at a time when he is going through a rough patch is concerning news for his fans. But Varun, who is known to select unique scripts, has believed in the filmmaker and has given him one more chance. We need to see if Varun makes a comeback with this film or not.
