Sakshi Vaidya, popular model, is turning a leading lady with Akhil Akkineni’s spy thriller Agent. The makers are amping up the promotions as the film is gearing up for a release in five languages - Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam - on April 28. Commemorating Ugadi, the promo of the second song Endhe Endhe, featuring the lead pair, was unveiled today.
The actress, even before the film’s release, is a hot favourite with netizens for her persona and fashion sense; her social media following is proof of the same. The promos also indicate terrific on screen chemistry between her and Akhil. Even before the film hits screens, Sakshi has already signed another biggie in Telugu.
Yes, you heard it right. She has signed the much-anticipated action thriller Gandeevadhaari Arjuna, directed by Praveen Sattaru. She is paired opposite Varun Tej in the film and a special poster with the actors was launched by the makers. Gandeevadhari Arjuna is an exciting project for many reasons.
Praveen Sattaru understands and executes action sequences with great finesse and that the story revolves around climate change and the security threat around a UN summit has piqued the interest of viewers. Mickey J Meyer, probably for the first time in his career, is scoring the music for an out-and-out action film.
Both the films, Agent and Gandeevadhari Arjuna, are stories revolving around the men and it’ll be interesting to see if she manages to mark amidst many heavyweights. Gandeevadhaari Arjuna too is expected to have a release in 2023. Agent has been in the making since 2021 and also stars Mammootty in a special role.
