Hours before release, Dhurandhar 2 cancels Tamil and Telugu premieres due to content delays, while Hindi shows continue as planned ahead of its March 19 theatrical debut

With just a few more hours left to go for the premieres of Hindi spy action thriller Dhurandhar 2, the Tamil and Telugu versions have been cancelled on Wednesday with moviegoers getting refunds for their tickets. However, the Hindi version of Dhurandhar 2, will take place across the country, ahead of its release on March 19.
In what comes as a shock to many cinema lovers, the Tamil and Telugu premieres of the upcoming Hindi film Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, have been cancelled. Those who had booked the tickets have been refunded with the amounts, with only Hindi premieres scheduled to take place on Wednesday evening. As per the social media buzz, the theatres have not been delivered with the respective language content. Meanwhile, the Hindi version is expected to be played with English subtitles.
Dhurandhar 2 is expected to be played in all languages on its release day, March 19, as the film is looking to capitalise the Eid/Ugadi weekend in the south and rest of country. The spy action thriller has grossed over Rs 30 crore in the pre-sales in India alone, building anticipating on its release, which is expected to smash box office records of the first film.

Continuing the story from the first part, Dhurandhar 2 follows RAW agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi who is undercover as Hamza Ali Mazari to infiltrate into the Pakistan’s underbelly world, and expose the dangerous crime and terrorism networks. With Ranveer Singh headlining the project, the film is helmed by Aditya Dhar and also stars Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor and Gaurav Gera. Dhurandhar 2 has a runtime of three hours and 49 minutes and has been censored A for its violent content. JioHotstar has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Dhurandhar 2.
