Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, is holding paid previews on March 18, 2026, ahead of its March 19 worldwide theatrical release. Amid this, Ram Gopal Varma, who watched the film in a special screening, shared his review on his X handle.

How is Dhurandhar: The Revenge?

Sharing his review for Dhurandhar: The Revenge, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma praised the film, plot, and the film's director, Aditya Dhar. Not only this, but he also urged acclaimed international filmmakers like Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan not to miss the film's first day, first show.

He wrote, "After last nights watch of #Dhurandhar2 in terms of it’s sheer cumulative impact in every which way , whether on it’s expected collections , audience euphoria , social influences , cinematic grammar breaking , and above all the psychological audio visual impact , it will be a SHOLAY x 100 level magnificence and is bound to make all the greatest films made so far starting from MUGHAL E AZAM. onwards look like TV SERIALS."

He further added, "This is the BIRTH of a NEW CINEMATIC ORDER and the ruthless extinction of everything that ever existed before in the previous WORLD of CINEMA."

Lastly, he said that the very spelling of the word “director” would begin with Aditya Dhar's name, and that it would be prudent and wise for even Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan to drop everything they were doing and watch Dhurandhar 2 on the first day, first show.

Plot of Dhurandhar: The Revenge

Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar, continues the story of the 2025 blockbuster. Starring Ranveer Singh as the undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi as he infiltrates Karachi’s underworld to dismantle terror networks and hunt down the mysterious “Bade Sahab,” leading to a high-stakes clash with a powerful enemy played by Arjun Rampal.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge stars Ranveer Singh as undercover agent Hamza Ali Mazari. Arjun Rampal plays Major Iqbal, Sanjay Dutt appears as SP Aslam, and Sara Arjun plays Yalina.

The film also includes R. Madhavan and Rakesh Bedi in supporting roles, with reported cameo appearances by Yami Gautam, Vicky Kaushal, and Emraan Hashmi as Bade Sahab.
