Kalki 2898 AD is in the news for its new release date. The Prabhas-starrer was supposed to hit the screens on May 9, 2024, but it has now been postponed and will hit the screens on May 30, 2024. We, at OTTplay, have already reported about the same, and plans for the same are being made by the makers. An official announcement about the release date will be made soon.

Kalki 2898 AD's animated version to be out on this OTT

Now, the news in film circles is that a prelude to the film will be released soon. We have learned that an animated version of Kalki 2898 AD will be streamed before the release on a popular OTT platform, and the makers have locked Netflix for the same. The negotiations have almost come to an end and things will be made official soon. 

As Kalki is based on a completely new fantasy backdrop, the makers want the audience to get accustomed to it and, hence, create an animated version of Kalki. That is why the makers have not locked the OTT deal for the film yet. But now, the prelude to Kalki 2898 AD will be streamed on Netflix. Though an official confirmation is yet to be made, this news has gone viral all over the film circles in Telugu states.

Kalki 2898 AD budget and cast

Kalki 2898 AD is directed by Nag Ashwin and showcases Prabhas as a superhero for the first time in his career. Vyjayanthi Movie is producing the film on a massive budget of Rs 350 crore. Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan play key roles in this film, which also has Kamal Haasan in a cameo. The presence of mega stars in Kalki makes this film one of the most awaited in recent times. 

The film's shoot has been wrapped up, and post-production is happening in various parts of the world. For now, the makers striking a deal to release the special version of Kalki 2898 AD has become a hot topic of discussion. Santhosh Narayanan is composing the music for this film.
