Naga Chaitanya's latest film, Thandel, hit the screens on February 7, 2025, amid huge expectations and turned out to be a smash hit at the box office. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film was made on a massive budget of over ₹100 crore and received rave reviews from day one, ensuring a solid theatrical run.

The film is now playing in only a few select theaters, and as per the latest update, it has collected a total worldwide share of ₹68 crore. To break even, the film needed to earn ₹55 crore, a target it comfortably surpassed, ensuring profits for all parties involved.

The film also performed well in the US market, where it needed just over $1.3 million to break even but managed to collect over $1.7 million, making it a profitable venture overseas as well.

Netflix has acquired the digital rights for a whopping ₹55 crore, allowing producer Allu Aravind to recover nearly half of the film's budget even before its theatrical release. Additionally, the satellite and post-release rights brought in substantial revenue for the makers.

Thandel marks Naga Chaitanya’s first-ever ₹100 crore film, cementing his strong comeback after a string of underperforming films. He will next be seen in a mystic thriller directed by Karthik Varma Dandu. His performance, new look, and chemistry with Sai Pallavi have been widely appreciated.
