Aishu, one of the controversial contestants of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7, recently faced eviction after receiving the least votes among the participants. Her relationship with fellow contestant Nixen was a central point of controversy on the show, leading to her exit. She was accused of crossing lines on a supposedly family-friendly show.
Following her eviction, Aishu has released a lengthy statement, admitting her mistakes and expressing remorse for her actions on the reality show. It's noteworthy that before eviction she faced a wave of trolling on social media owing to her growing intimacy with Nixen, which many deemed indecent.
In her first public response to the controversy, she appreciated the viewers for holding her accountable and acknowledged the missed opportunity to utilize a platform like Bigg Boss Tamil positively.
"My strongest apologies to all the viewers of this show. I have been a great disappointment to everyone who believed in me. The show was a great opportunity, and there are a thousand girls like me who would have died for this stage," she said.
Reflecting on her behaviour on the show, Aishu confessed, "Never knew that liking and being liked by someone would be hated so much by the public." She blamed the toxic environment in the Bigg Boss house, where contestants are often prompted to speak negatively about each other.
She also talked about the impact of the show on her mental well-being, stating, "This show has pushed me to the verge of ending myself, but it is only the last belief that my parents have in me that has kept me breathing so far."
She apologized for using obscene language on the show, describing her actions as "vile, disrespectful, and immature."
While regretting her behaviour on the popular show, Aishu also pleaded for her family's privacy. She requested people to direct their criticism at her but spare her family from undue scrutiny.
"I plead all to have mercy on my family and leave them out of this as they are already thriving on the bare minimal reasons to exist. In this show, we learn a lot from each individual, on how to be and how not to be, and maybe I am a living example of 'WHAT NOT TO BE.' I AM SORRY. IN SHAME, AISHU," she concluded.
