Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Chiranjeevi's next? Here is the clarity

Chiranjeevi tasted failure with his new film Bholaa Shankar. The action drama which was released on August 11, 2023, ended as a massive flop at the box office. Right from the day, the trailer was released, director Meher Ramesh was only being trolled for the way he directed the film which was the remake of the Tamil super hit, Vedhalam. Anil Sunkar produced the film on a massive Rs 90 crore budget.

On the other hand, Chiranjeevi has been maintaining a low profile and has been busy prepping for his new film in the direction of Vassishta, who made the super hit film, Bimbisara with Kalyan Ram and gave him a proper comeback in Telugu cinema.

The latest news about the film is that the makers have approached star heroine, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play a key role in the film. This news spread thick and fast in the Telugu film circles and made the fans excited. Well, we have come to know from one of our sources that the said reports of Ash being a part of the film is just a rumor and there is no truth in it.

So far, only Mrunal Thakur has been finalized by the makers and they will make an announcement soon. The said project is a fantasy drama and has scope for three reasons. There is also news that Anushka Shetty has also been approached and there is no confirmation on the same.

On the other hand, we at OTTplay have revealed that Netflix has grabbed the OTT rights of the film for a whopping Rs 38 crores. Bholaa Shankar started streaming on September 15, 2023, and is doing well on OTT. In fact, the film managed to be in the top spot for two continuous days. Looks like the fans and general audience who did not watch the film are catching up on the film on Netflix.
