The film's story revolves around the murder of a girl which leads to unforeseen circumstances.

The actress said in a statement that her role in the film has multiple layers and that it is the number of ample engaging sequences in the story which convinced her to sign the project. According to her, the plot surrounding an individual who doesn't mind going to any extent to find the missing links of her best friend's mysterious death was really gripping. She said, "The twists and turns in Thittam Irandu are engaging enough to take the audience by surprise. This is my first association with SonyLIV and I am looking forward to the movie’s release."

Director Vignesh, who is elated about the movie's release on the digital platform, said he is looking forward to the feedback of the audience. He said in a statement that he is immensely elated about the film releasing on SonyLIV. The actor-director, who had earlier directed Yenda Thalaiyila Yenna Vekkala and essayed a special appearance in it, said the film will be a reflection of some of the unjust practices prevailing in our society. He said, "I strongly believe that every character has been well-etched out and contributes to the potential of the story. I am quite excited and am eagerly awaiting the response of viewers across the globe."

Interestingly, Aishwarya's Ka Pae Ranasingam, directed by P Virumandi, was released last year on Zee5. It is expected that Rathindran Prasad's Boomika, one of the actress's upcoming projects, will also have a digital release soon.
