Aishwarya Rajesh, who has had no releases in 2022, had pinned high hopes on Driver Jamuna which was scheduled for a theatrical release on November 11. The film's trailer had evoked curiousity among Tamil cinephiles, thanks to engaging cuts and neat visuals.

However, the makers have now informed that the film has been postponed owing to unanticipated reasons. They took to social media to reveal the same and added that the new release date will be announced soon. The production house apologized to the audience and said that they are trying their best to ensure the movie's release at the earliest.

SP Chowthari has produced the movie under the banner of 18 Reels. P Kinslin has directed the film which is touted as a road thriller. Kavitha Bharathi, Abhishek Kumar, Ilaya Pandi and Manikandan Rajesh play pivotal roles in the project which has music composed by Ghibran.

Gokul Benoy and R Ramar have handled cinematography and editing respectively for Driver Jamuna which has action choreography helmed by Anl Arasu. Don Bala is in charge of art direction while Kabilan has penned lyrics for songs.

The film's story revolves around a female cab driver who faces a slew of unforeseen instances after a couple of passengers in her vehicle decide to finish off a politician. How she faces the situation and attempts to thwart the attack forms the rest of the plot.

The makers had unveiled a couple of songs from the movie recently. A press show of the film was organized on Tuesday, but it was postponed owing to the uncertainty of the movie's release. Aishwarya has more than half-a-dozen movies currently in her kitty, including a few long-pending films.
