Punjabi musician and rapper turned politician Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in a village in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29.
Moosewala is well-known for his hit songs such as "So High." He quickly released his debut album, PBX1, which charted on the Billboard Canadian albums chart.
Moosewala made his acting debut in Moosa Jatt in 2021, he also appeared in the film Yes I Am Student. Prior to the November election, he also joined the Indian National Congress.
The news of his demise startled many celebrities. Various celebs, including Kapil Sharma and Ajay Devgan, took to Twitter to pay respect to the singer.

Moosewala was killed a day after his security was removed under the Bhagwant Mann-AAP government mandate to quash VIP culture in Punjab.
It is reported that more than 30 rounds were fired at Moosewala’s jeep, instantly killing him and injuring two others who were accompanying him.
News agency ANI now reports that a Canadian gangster named Lawrence Bishnoi has claimed responsibility for this shooting
