Ajay Devgn's Maidaan is one of the highly anticipated movies of the year. Directed by Amit Sharma, the film is based on the life of former Indian football coach, Syed Abdul Rahim. In this film, Ajay plays the lead role while Priyamani will be seen as his on-screen wife. Before the film's theatrical release, CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) gave a heads-up to the film with 'zero' cuts, as mentioned by Bollywood Hungama. Maidaan has been granted a U/A certificate by the board.
Maidaan cleared with 'zero' cuts, runtime revealed!
As per the news report, the examining committee of CBFC cleared Ajay Devgn's film Maidaan without a single cut. However, the board asked for an additional disclaimer to be added to the film. It reads, "The film is a work of fiction inspired by true events available in the public domain, views of the legendary football players, and research of writers with fictional elements."
The disclaimer reportedly also states that the use of certain dialogues is purely done to dramatize the events and the film is not made to incite any lawlessness. Besides this, the makers of Ajay's film were asked to insert an anti-smoking ticker in scenes where characters are seen smoking. The makers were also asked to add the end credits in Hindi. The movie's runtime is 3 hours, 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Maidaan, helmed by Amit Sharma, will shed light on Syed Abdul Rahim's life when he was the Indian football coach from 1952 to 1962. The film has been backed by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor. It is headed for a theatrical release on April 10, 2024. Maidaan is headed for a box-office clash with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan on Eid. Needless to say, only one out of the two films will lead the box office game.
