Ajay Gadu OTT release date - When and where to watch Ajay Kumar Kathurvar, Shweta Mehta’s Telugu film

Ajay Kumar Kathurvar, who debuted with Puri Jagannadh’s Mehbooba in 2018, went onto work in films like Raagala 24 Gantallo, Alanti Sitralu, Mistake, Prema Desam and Vishwak over the years. While his Vishwak opted for a direct-to-OTT release on ZEE5, another film of the actor - Ajay Gadu - is gearing up for a digital release on the platform this Sankranthi.

Ajay Gadu, an intense action romance, where Ajay Kumar Kathurvar is paired opposite two female leads - Shweta Mehta and Bhanusri - is all set to arrive on ZEE5 on January 12. Besides playing the lead role, Ajay has also produced the film along with Chandana Koppisetti under Ajay Kumar Productions. The team behind the production house also gets the directorial credit for the project.

The film’s teaser, songs and several other promos were released nearly a year and a half ago. In Ajay Gadu’s rustic teaser, the protagonist reveals there could be multiple dimensions to love - with a mother, girlfriend, friends, career and even a stranger. Love may not always lead to happiness, he warns. Another friend compares love to torn innerwear.

Abhai Naveen, Jayasri Rachakonda play other important roles in Ajay Gadu. The film has four music composers - Karthik Kodakandla, Manizena, Sumanth Babu and Pratheik. Sidharth Sadasivuni has worked on the film’s background score. Ajay Nag and Harsha Hari Jasthi have cranked the camera for the film. Monru Ravi Kumar is the art director and P Vishal is the choreographer.

ZEE5 had multiple releases in Telugu in the last year, including the web shows ATM (produced by Dil Raju), Maya Bazaar for Sale (directed by Gautami Challagulla), Lavanya Tripathi-Aadi Saikumar starrer Puli Meka besides the OTT film Prema Vimanam. Some of their upcoming shows are the Nivetha Pethuraj-headlined Paruvu besides Anjali’s Bahishkarana.
