Ajith Kumar's Thunivu is gearing up for THIS special show in a popular theatre despite streaming on Netflix

Thunivu, which went on to become a blockbuster by grossing around 200 crores from across the world, dropped on Netflix a couple of weeks ago in different languages. The movie directed by H Vinoth created a few records after its OTT premiere and was trending at numero uno position in many countries.

Netizens have been going gaga over Ajith's presence, intriguing screenplay in the first half and background score by Ghibran. There were cinephiles who also pointed out the reasons for the film's comparatively sloppy latter half and okayish climax.

The Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions of Thunivu is still garnering huge response on Netflix, and makers unveiled the film's OST track recently, leaving fans overwhelmed. As if this isn't enough, they have one more reason to rejoice. Fans of Ajith now have a chance to watch the film again in a popular theatre in Chennai as the movie hall has organized its 50th day event.

The tickets for the action drama are filling fast despite its availability on Netflix. Many are expressing their excitement over the surprise in the comment section and have started planning their celebrations.

The film has performed exceptionally well in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and overseas markets. Movie buffs and fans of Ajith are now awaiting the star's next project, tentatively titled AK 62. Amid various speculations doing the rounds on the movie, we hear that an official announcement will be made soon.

The untitled film is being planned as a Deepavali release and Magizh Thirumeni is said to have been brought on board to helm the project.
