And it's official! The much-awaited title of Ajith-starrer directed by H Vinoth is Thunivu. The project has been tentatively titled AK 61 ever since it went on floors. The movie marks the third collaboration of Ajith, Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai.
The makers have unveiled the film's first look as well. A stylish looking Ajith, sporting goggles, white hair and beard, attired in white shirt and light green cargo pants, is seen sitting in a composed manner in a recliner with a PP-19 Bizon in his right hand. Needless to say, the star's fans are going crazy over the poster and are posting tweets with the hashtag 'Thunivu'.
Nirav Shah is cranking the camera for the movie which has action choreography by Supreme Sundar. Vijay Velukutty is in charge of editing while Ghibran has been roped in to compose music for the film. Manju Warrier, Veera, Kavin and Prem will be seen essaying notable characters in Thunivu.
According to sources, the shooting of the project is in its final stage. Movie buffs are eagerly awaiting to know about the release date of the film. Earlier, it was announced that the movie will hit the screens around Deepavali.
There are news doing the rounds that Thunivu might arrive for Pongal reason, though an official confirmation is awaited. Fans of Ajith, who celebrated Valimai this year in February, were looking forward to watching Thunivu, too, in 2022, but it looks unlikely going by the current schedule.
Billed as a heist drama, the movie began in Hyderabad and a huge set was erected to shoot a few crucial scenes in Ramoji Film City. A set replicating a few portions of Mount Road in Chennai was also created for an action scene, and its pictures did the rounds on social media a while ago.
