Actor Aju Varghese’s next film has been titled Poovan Kozhi Sakshiyayi. The film is based on the story titled Sakshi, written by P V Shajikumar, based on the 1993 Badiyadka murder case in Kasaragod. According to sources, the only eyewitness to the case is said to be a rooster.
The movie is billed as a humorous thriller with investigative elements. This film is being directed by Rahul R Sharma, who has worked with director Midhun Manuel Thomas. P V Shajikumar, who has written screenplays for films like Take Off, Puthan Panam, and Teacher, is the scriptwriter of this movie.

Badiyadka murder case
S H Imam Hussain, a black magician from Karnataka, was charged with killing Srikrishna Bhat, 45, and his wife Shrimati, 35, who lived in Devaloka, close to Perla. The murder of the couple occurred on August 9, 1993. Their children were sleeping in another room of the house. In order to retrieve a treasure that was believed to be hidden within the victim's farm boundaries, Srikrishna asked Hussain for help.
The only witness in the case was a rooster that had been brought there for sacrifice. It had been taken over by the police, but after a few years, it passed away. The accused was apprehended in Nelamangala, Bengaluru, after 19 years.
