AK 62: Santhosh Narayanan hints at coming on board for Ajith's much-awaited film with Magizh Thirumeni

Director Vignesh Shivan was excited about directing Ajith in AK 62 to be produced by Lyca Productions. However, after unexpected events, he was ousted from the project after which the star and production house started looking out for another director.

After several speculations, it is almost confirmed that Magizh Thirumeni will be brought on board to helm the movie. The makers are planning a Deepavali release, and fans are looking forward to an official announcement. Anirudh was roped in earlier as the composer for the film as per Vignesh Shivan's plans.

But after the Poda Podi director's exit, movie buffs have been wondering who could join the team instead of Anirudh. Santhosh Narayanan's name started surfacing on social media for the last two days. The composer has now updated his profile picture on Twitter, hinting at something exciting coming his way.

According to sources, an official update on AK 62 is on the way and all it takes is a tweet from Lyca Productions. Cinephiles are curious to know if makers would announce details of other cast and crew as well. An announcement on the project under Vignesh Shivan's helm was made almost a year ago.

Meanwhile, fans of Ajith are having a gala time on social media celebrating the digital release of Thunivu on Netflix. The action drama was dropped on the OTT platform earlier today in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. The H Vinoth directorial went on to gross around 200 crores from the box office.

The film bankrolled by Boney Kapoor is Ajith's highest grosser in several territories despite clashing with Vijay's Varisu on January 11.
