Following the success of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Alia Bhatt announced her next film, Jigra. The film, which will be helmed by Vasan Bala. The film marks the collaboration between Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Alia's home banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions. After her 2022 Netflix hit, Darlings, this will be her second outing as a producer. Now, Alia shared a sneak-peak from the sets as she kickstars the shoot of the film.  

Taking to her social media, the Student Of The Year actress shared the pictures. In one of the pictures, Alia's sister Shaheen Bhatt is also featured while she is getting ready for her shot. The actress captioned the post: "& we're rolling .. 🎥 day one of bringing our jigra to life.. stay tuned as we bring to you a piece of our hearts.. fingers and toes crossed for the journey aheaddddddd .. love TEAM JIGRA"

Earlier, while revealing the project, Alia shared a heartfelt message with the announcement video. She wrote: “Presenting #Jigra, directed by the extremely talented @vasanbala and produced by @dharmamovies & @eternalsunshineproduction. From debuting in a Dharma production to now producing a film with them, in many ways, it feels like coming full circle from where I started. Every day is a different day… exciting, challenging (and a little scary)… not just as an actor but also as a producer as we bring this film to life, and I CANNOT wait to share more as we move forward.”

About Jigra

Jigra is expected to be a compelling prison escape thriller with a main storyline centered around the close relationship between a brother and sister. The eagerly awaited film is expected to hit theaters on September 27, 2024.

Alia was last seen in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The film also starred Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.
