Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, opened in theatres yesterday (December 1) and has already caused a huge stir at the box office. Following the movie's release, social media users praised Ranbir's outstanding performance. Alia Bhatt, actress Ranbir's wife, posted on social media that she is "completely blown away" by her husband's performance in the film.

On Saturday morning, Alia took to her Instagram page and shared two pictures of Ranbir Kapoor. In the first photo, the actor is seen waving at his fans, and in the second, Ranbir is seen reading a book to their daughter, Raha, who is cuddled up on his lap. Even though Raha's face is not visible, this picture made our day.

In the caption, she wrote, "For all that you are on and off camera.
For the patience, silence and love you give your craft..
& for the person you are to your family.
For taking such huge strides as an artist..
& for literally making our daughter take her first steps today.. šŸ„¹šŸ„¹
For completely blowing us away your performanceā€¦

& for making all of the above look so easy šŸ«¶

Congratulations my not so little animal ā™„ļø"

The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress also took to her stories to praise Animal's director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, along with actors Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, and Tripti Dimri. Take a look at her Instagram story below:

About Animal

The film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, centres on the toxic relationship between a man and his father. Ranbir Kapoor plays the traumatised, irate son, while Anil Kapoor plays the emotionally distant father. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given Animal an ā€˜Aā€™ certificate. The filmā€™s run time is 3 hours and 21 minutes.

After Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh, Animal is Sandeep Reddy Vanga's second Bollywood film. Sandeep and Ranbir have worked together for the first time in this film. Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Tripti Dimri also play significant roles in the movie in addition to Ranbir and Anil.
