Mangalavaaram, the third directorial effort in Ajay Bhupathi’s career, starring Payal Rajput, Ajmal Amir, Ravindra Vijay, Shravan Reddy, Nandita Swetha, Chaitanya Krishna and others releases on November 17. Ahead of its release, the film’s pre-release event was held in Hyderabad, for which Allu Arjun was the chief guest. The star had kind words to share about the film and the director.
“Very films pique your curiosity instantly after watching the teaser and I genuinely wanted to watch Mangalavaaram immediately. When I showed it to Sukumar on Pushpa 2 sets, he too was left awestruck. The film has the right vibe to create magic. I really liked Ajay Bhupathi’s RX 100, Pilla Raa continues to play in my household. Maha Samudram showed he’s a capable technician too,” Allu Arjun shared.
The Pushpa 2 star said all the technicians - from the sound designer to the cinematographer, editor and others - did a fabulous job with Mangalavaaram. He wished Payal Rajput a landmark success, much like RX 100. “I had also listened to Mangalavaaram’s story out of goodwill. You need a lot of courage to tell a story like this. It is a bold subject and I’m sure he has dealt it well.”
Allu Arjun said he’s quite positive about the output and recollected the association he shares with one of the producers - Swathi and how he motivated her to enter the industry sans fear. “I also congratulate the other producer Suresh Varma, we know him well. I hope Swathi and Suresh’s partnership results in a success. Nothing can work out in life without good partnership, be it films, business or marriage.”
Revealing a key update about Pushpa 2, the star stated he’s currently shooting for the famous ‘jathara’ episode in the film, hinting at the paint in his hand and nails. “I need your blessings as the film releases on August 15, 2024. It has been two years since my film released but my fans have been extremely supportive. That’s why I say, I don’t have fans, I have an army,” he said, wishing crowds a safe Diwali.
