Oh My Dog, which had a direct release on Amazon Prime Video, has been receiving decent reviews from critics and film lovers. The movie directed by Sarov Shanmugam was in the news before its release when cricket legend Jonty Rhodes expressed interest in watching the movie. 

Suriya, Jyotika's production house 2D Entertainment has bankrolled the movie which dropped on the OTT platform on April 21. Arnav Vijay, Arun Vijay and Vijaykumar play lead roles in the project which revolves around the relationship between a kid and a puppy. 

The film has now hit the headlines as its makers have organized a special screening for a group of students of a government school. The social media handle of the production house tweeted a few pictures of the show which was attended by Arun, Sarov and Arnav.

The post read, "Today #OhMyDog was screened specially for a group of Govt. school students. Here are some stills of them leaving the screen, all smiles! (sic)." The children look excited posing for a photo along with the film crew after watching the movie. The movie marked the OTT debut of Arun and acting debut of Arnav. 

Oh My Dog also brought together actors from three generations of the Vijaykumar family. Mahima Nambiar and Vinay Rai among others essay crucial roles in the project which has music composed by Nivas K Prasanna. The movie is part of the four-film deal inked between 2D Entertainment and Amazon Prime Video in 2021.

Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum, Udanpirappe and Jai Bhim were the other three films which are part of the deal signed between the two parties. Though Oh My Dog was supposed to release in December 2021, the delay in post-production works because of the pandemic made the makers postpone the film by a few months.
