Jeff Daniels is returning in yet another thrilling installment of the crime drama American Rust. The upcoming season 2, called American Rust: Broken Justice, will unveil sinister murder conspiracies. After years of cancellation, the cop drama finally found its OTT partner in Amazon Prime Video. The series is gearing up for its release on March 28. Apart from Jeff Daniels and Maura Tierney, who will be reprising their roles, there are several new additions to the ensemble. American Rust: Broken Justice trailer and Season 2 plot
In the trailer, the protagonist Del Harris (Jeff Daniels), a policeman, and his former love interest, Grace Poe (Maura Tierney), try to pick up the broken pieces of their lives in Pennsylvania's rust belt. “We never really do move on, do we?” Del poignantly asks, hinting at his moral dilemmas and troubled past.
The latest season will continue the tale of criminal justice and murder investigations with a series of unrelated and brutal murder conspiracies in the small town. Will desperation and complicated feelings overwhelm Harris again? Watch Broken Justice to uncover the secrets.

American Rust: Broken Justice Season 1 story
Based on Philipp Meyer’s acclaimed novel, American Rust debuted on Showtime in 2021 and received immense love for its layered narrative. The plot revolves around chief of police Del Harris, who gets entangled between his duty to solve the murder case and his complicated feelings when the needle of suspicion points to his girlfriend’s son.
Helmed by Dan Futterman, Adam Rapp, Jeff Daniels, and several other executive producers, Broken Justice will premiere all 10 episodes on March 28.

Apart from Daniels and Tierney’s return, David Alvarez (Isaac English), Alex Neustaedter (Billy Poe), Julie Mayorga (Lee English), Mark Pellegrino (Virgil Poe), Rob Yang (Chief Steve Park), and Kyle Beltran (Detective Fisher) will also be reprising their roles from Season 1.
Meanwhile, Season 2’s new cast includes Luna Lauren Velez as Detective Angela Burgos, Marc Menchaca as Vic Walker, Nick Sandow as Mike Orr, Britian Seibert as Cynthia Frazier, and several other fresh faces in promising roles.
