Akshay Kumar's Housefull 5 has been doing decently at the box office. The film hit the theatres worldwide on June 6. But it was learnt that the pirated film versions surfaced online within hours. Not only Housefull 5, but also several movies in the past were leaked online by illegal sites. In a new interview, Akshay reacted to piracy and said that unless a strict rule comes in, it cannot be handled.
Akshay Kumar on piracy
Speaking with Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar was asked about piracy as a major threat to the industry. The actor said that piracy can only be solved by the people having the mindset of going to theaters and watching, and not watching, and it cannot be controlled otherwise.
He further added, "Whatever you may try, however, unless and until a very strict rule comes in and that's the only way to control it. Otherwise, I can't see anything getting controlled with this."

Housefull 5 plot
Housefull 5 has two versions: Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B. The plot is the same for both, except for the climax. The fifth installment in the popular Housefull franchise follows the chaotic adventures of Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, and others as they deal with a self-deprecating mystery with wit and humour.
Meanwhile, Housefull 5 will hit Prime Video after its theatrical release.
