Amit Sadh reveals his association with the gripping 'Duranga' series | EXCLUSIVE

After having made a name for himself with films like Kai Po Che, Guddu Rangeela, Sultan, Akira and other films, the extremely talented Amit Sadh was successful in carving a name for himself in Bollywood. What set him apart from others is his ability to sense the depth of the roles and accordingly mould himself on to it. One such role for which Amit Sadh is super excited happens to be ‘Duranga 2’, a riveting series released on Zee5.

OTTPlay caught up with the stellar actor for an exclusive interview.

My entire life’s journey in a nutshell
The entire journey has simply been amazing. It has been a roller coaster (smiles). All I can say is that, dreams do come true!

My association with the ‘Duranga’ series…
Goldie Behl, who is a friend of mine, had sent me the script for season one, wherein I only had three days’ work. I was supposed to just be in coma. But I trust them. They told me season two is going to be on my character and it will be a lot more fun and that it will be a challenging and interesting character for me. And when we worked on season two’s script along with Zee 5’s creative team and the writers, the resultant was sheer magic.

‘Duranga 2’s tagline and my personality!
‘Duranga 2’s tagline states that, ‘A lot of secrets to be opened and a lot to be destroyed’. If you were to ask me to tell you about that one secret that no one knows about me and that one myth/ rumour about myself that I want to be destroyed, so, let me tell you that, I never had any rumours. As a personality, if I don't want you to know something, you will never know! And there is no secret there.

The core premise of ‘Duranga 2’ and what made me say yes to the series
The script of the show has a very unique and gripping storyline. And this is what, which had caught my attention immediately. It kind of forays into the dark aspects of human nature. And that complexity really appealed to me as an actor. The entire series had all the emotions and all the attractions for me to jump into with this group and create something unique. ‘Duranga 1’ had done very well and I'm just hoping that the audience is thoroughly entertained and engaged while watching ‘Duranga 2’.
