Ana de Armas in talks to star in John Wick spinoff, Ballerina

Ana de Armas is one of the hottest properties in Hollywood today. The actor has a large fan following and has been starring in some of the most anticipated and successful movies released in the last few years such as No Time To Die.

The latest reports suggest that the star will take the lead in Lionsgate’s spinoff to their successful movie franchise John Wick. Deadline reports that the actor will be the lead, playing a female assassin in the movie titled Ballerina. 

The movie is said to be the story of a young female assassin, who sets out to take vengeance after her family has been murdered. 

After de Armas was seen in an action avatar in the latest James Bond movie, No Time To Die, it is exciting to hear news about the actor starring in an all out action movie.

Making her big breakthrough through Denis Villeneuve’s big project Blade Runner 2049, the actor was also much appreciated in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, which had an ensemble cast. 

de Armas has some big films for the future, such as Russo brothers' assassin action movie The Gray Man, which will see her star alongside Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling. She will also essay the role of the mercurial Marilyn Monroe in a biopic titled Blonde.

While reports of de Armas to star in a John Wick spinoff movie are making the rounds, fans are also discussing the possibilities of Reeves’ John Wick making an appearance in the movie. 

de Armas has previously worked with Reeves in the Eli Roth’s 2015 erotic thriller Knock Knock.
