Many were surprised when Naveen Polishetty, after the humungous success of Jathi Ratnalu, chose to take the slow and steady route in building his career and work on one project at a time. He has always maintained that he isn’t here to chase money or make films in a hurry. It took him two years to have a release after Jathi Ratnalu, but his gamble has paid off with Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty.

“I was under pressure to do multiple films after Jathi Ratnalu but I preferred to invest all my energy into one project. If my focus was money, I would have had three releases in two years,” he told OTTplay.com. Naveen Polishetty’s another film, Anaganaga Oka Raju, was announced right when he was working for Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, though there has been no update about it ever since.
Given the absence of any hint about its commencement, many presumed Anaganaga Oka Raju, produced by DJ Tillu makers Sithara Entertainments, was shelved. The reports gained steam when the producers announced Mad, a different project with the film’s director Kalyan Shankar starring Narne Nithiin, Sangeeth Shobhan and Ram Nithin.
However, Naveen dismisses the rumours. “I have committed to 3 films after Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty and I’ll be organising a press meet to confirm all the projects and you’ll have all your questions answered then,” he responded. Earlier in the day, Mythri Movie Makers more or less confirmed that they will be teaming up with Naveen for an energetic entertainer.
That’s not all, he’s also in talks with Jathi Ratnalu maker Anudeep for another film. “We have been discussing a couple of scripts. Depending on which of them is locked first, we may work on a film in 2024,” the actor-writer said. “I have said yes to three films and I hope to have at least two releases in the coming year. As of now, Telugu cinema is my priority. If an excellent script comes my way, I wouldn’t mind doing a Hindi film,” Naveen stated.
