Anali: Before Roslin’s OTT release, JioHotstar wraps up another Malayalam thriller series

The release of the first Malayalam series, Secret Stories Roslin, is just a week from its release on JioHotstar (OTTplay Premium). But the platform has already wrapped up shooting of its second series, titled Anali. Director Midhun Manuel Thomas is helming the series which also features Leona Lishoy and Nikhila Vimal.
Which is the upcoming JioHotstar series
Anali is an upcoming Malayalam series on JioHotstar (OTTplay Premium). The shooting has been completed for the series helmed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, best known for his Aadu films. In a video shared on Instagram, we see the last scene being shot and Midhun calling for the final pack up as the crew broke out in applause. Leon Lishoy, who was last seen in the movie Valathu Vashathe Kallan and Jibin Gopinath of Pranav Mohanlal’s movie Dies Irae are also seen on set, which appears to be a house.
The platform announced Anali, along with five titles in December 2025 during its South Unbound event as it revealed its slate for 2026.
Anali will revolve around the character of Leona Lishoy. There are speculations that the thriller series would revolve around a real-life case from Kerala, the Koodathayi murder case. But this has not been confirmed by the makers.
When will Roslin release
Roslin is the first series from the slate for 2026 to hit the digital space. Roslin will release on JioHotstar and OTTplay Premium on February 27, 2026. The series features Sanjana Dipu in the titular role while Vineeth and Meena are shown as their parents. Hakim Shahjahan plays the other key role in the series.
As per the recently released trailer, Roslin revolves around the teenager who has been left disturbed as she has recurring dreams of a green-eyed stalker. Roslin is directed by Sumesh Nandakumar, while the plot is penned by Vinayak Sasikumar. Hit filmmaker Jeethu Joseph is the showrunner.
